Tukur: I Accept My Suspension With Equanimity

Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur on Friday said  that he accepted his suspension with equanimity.
This he said while reacting to his suspension by the National Working Committee (NWC) for anti-party activities.
Alhaji Tukur said though he did not deserve the treatment being meted out to him by the party of which he was a founding member and served diligently up to the position of being a national chairman, he was willing to appear before the party's disciplinary committee as a loyal member.
Tukur who insisted on his innocence said: "My position on this case is simply that I have never taken my party to court. I have been sued myself as a defendant. The court cases are very clear. When I was sued to make appearance, naturally I and my representative had to go to court and represent me. But I have never sued my party.”
